In the ancient Greco-Roman world, a *thermopolium*—from the Greek *thermopōlion*—was literally “a place where something hot is sold”: a commercial establishment where ready-to-eat food could be purchased. At Hostal Empúries, we have once again revived this tradition with the “Sabors d’Emporiae” (Flavors of Emporiae) concept. From Wednesday to Sunday, between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM, our own unique *Thermopolivm* serves as a culinary space where guests can discover Greco-Roman cuisine. To recreate these dishes, the team at Aion Culinary drew upon various historical sources, reinterpreting the recipes using contemporary culinary techniques adapted to modern tastes. The menu, designed around the concept of light bites, offers a journey into the past.
